When it comes to food we don't take many chances regarding new and unusual foods. So when it came to the Korean restaurant, Kimchee, we had a bit of trepidation. We weren't exactly sure what is Korean food.
Becky heading into Kimchee
When we looked at the menu, we had a ton of questions for the waitress. Is it hot? What does it taste like? What do you recommend? etc.. We settled on the following: Grilled Marinated Spicy Chicken, Bulgogi (Grilled Marinated Beef), and Kimchi Jeon (Kimchi Pancake).
Our entrees
Before the main course came we started with a assortment of Kimchis. It was cabbage, cucumber, and radish Kimchi. They are all served cold. I have never had Kimchi so didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised it was quite good.
Becky and I really enjoyed our dinners. They were very fresh, spicy, and hot. We all like Chinese food but I would have to put Korean food right up there. It almost the same but they use cabbage instead of rice. Maeve was a bit mixed on her meal but no major complaints.
Overall the the food and service were excellent. It was fun experiencing something new and different.
