Week 13... Service is King

If the food is really good I don't mind getting lax service, but we are talking about Woodruff Rd where if your service isn't good a patron only has to travel 200 feet to the next establishment. And so this is how our evening at Tropical Grille went.

There was only one person working behind the counter and the other individual was on break. Not a big deal but when you are standing there for five minutes and the phone rings and the server takes the takeout order, I get a little peeved. When we put our orders in , Becky had the Vegetarian Chop, Maeve had the Cuban Style Steak sandwich, and I had the Chicken Caesar Wrap.

As you can see from above only two orders were completed. Mine was to come out later. The often difficult Chicken Caesar wrap requires a deft touch to make. Meanwhile Becky's Chop came without the bed of rice the Chop is known for.

Only one to get a correct meal

So after ten minutes of waiting for my meal I went to counter to ask them. The blank stare of the two behind the counter said it all. No wrap for you!!!. He quickly apologized and made the wrap but by then the girls had finished .

I had mine to go, hence the plastic bag.

Overall the food was average and the service was well under par to be nice.

Week 12 ... This will be Quick!!!

One thing you never real saw in New Jersey was the "all you can eat" concept. Pizza Inn fits that bill. It offers all types of pizza, salad bar , and a dessert pizza bar. Of course it's all you can drink.

If you want to take in calories at high rate and aren't a pizza aficionado then Pizza Inn is for you. I however love pizza and love everything about pizza. Pizza Inn is basically one notch above frozen pizza that you would find at a supermarket. I really enjoyed the Salad bar as the produce is fresh and crisp.

So if you have a brood of kids in your charge then I recommend going to Pizza Inn and stuffing yourself until your heart is content. If you are looking for a delicious quality pizza then I would look elsewhere.

Week 11 ... The bar has been set

As somebody who enjoys and you might even say embraces fast food, Culvers is a culinary delight. Culvers is originally from Wisconsin and has slowly been expanding across the US. What makes their food so good is everything is cooked to order and the price is fantastic. Throw in their custard shakes and it's a homerun.

Bridget heading inside

The whole clan joined us for Week 11 dinner at Culvers. Four of us ordered the snack pack meal which consists of cheeseburger, crinkle cut fries, and a drink all for under $5. Bridget had the grilled chicken sandwich meal. Becky went with her usual grilled chicken salad.

Lumiere joined us.

Overall the dinner was very good if you enjoy good cheeseburgers. The service at Culvers is excellent with one of the friendliest staffs around. The restaurant itself has outdoor seating and the inside has plenty of seating with TVs and a fireplace.

The bar has been set for fast food and it goes to Culvers.
